Preordered it today

Hi there,

I have pre ordered this huge kit today at a dutch store, with an A.T.A. of mid November.
According to the shop owner it comes with diecast sprocket wheels, 4 frets of PE, a metal barrel and tow cables, 43 sprues etc. etc. etc.
BUT! And this is important: it comes as a LIMITED EDITION and ONE TIME sale only, due to changes in the kit for future kits. So, there's more to come :-)

Also, instead of the socalled Porsche turret, it will include the production turret.

Yep, I am a happy Piet

Question

Greetings fellow modelers.........

Just had to drop in and make a comment about this kit!

I've just bought one from a Spanish site/shop for the grand total (Plus P+P) of $414.00, which is 257 UK pounds at time of purchase. It had to be done, as these things are going to disappear quickly and for a good while, but when they come back around the people who bought two of them will be asking the earth for the one they've got left.

I don't know how my wife puts up with it all to be quite honest though!

I've just finished the T34/76 1943 kit and I would show you some photos of said but it is on display in the local model shop for a few weeks. I drool with excitment at the prospect of getting this Tiger beasty for Cristmas. It has such astounding detail.

Anyway, this is my first post and look forward to dipping in now and again. My interest stems from my time in the British Army 26 years ago as a driver and crewman of a MKV Cheiftain tank.

BTW can anyone recomend any threads which have stories about builds and painting techniques?

By for now!

The Hong Kong price is around 232UK. With postage on top it should be about the same price I paid from a Spanish outlet. I liked the extra description though. It went into a bit more detail. I'm so looking forward to opening the box! Whats intriguing though, is what they are going to come up with next as they are going to turn over the production casts to another project as soon as all of the pre orders are in. I cant wait!

I managed to get mine for just over €200 in Poland. Now if it only turns up before Christmas I'll be a happy camper.

I thinking maybe before Christmas here in the USA!

Looks like you can display it with clear hull or painted and / or a combination of clear turret.

Any thoughts on how you will display yours?

OK guys.....Stevens was supposed to have this on the 8th......yesterday
GM says this week(?)........I'm stoked that I might get mine before Christmas!

Who else is getting one and any thoughts on using the clear hull and or turret, possibly using partial painting of those items to see all the goodies, or will you paint it all and construct it so that the hull top can be removed?

Thanks

OUCH.......looks like I'm out now!

The T-34's were like what $200 list.............
WOW! Big turn around! What changed your mind?

If I were getting one I surely would use the clear parts. I really like the KT inside the PATTON Museum in Kentucky. They have cut out portions that show the crew at their stations and the interior is all detailed out and painted. Pretty intense looking.
