Stug.III Ausf.E Dragon 1/35

Another of my projects that I’d stopped two years ago. Dragon “Super Value” kit. Old model, bad and brittle plastic, and some infernal fitting. I just wanted to get it ready to paint as soon as possible. Out of the box with some house-made details.

I’ve assembled the running gear apart from the chassis to make easier the painting.

Happy modelling!

Nice work Oscar,

I am sure this will look great with some paint on it.

Hi Oscar
You glued allready upper and lower body together?I am wondering about the big gap between fighting compartment and fenders. In reality there were only some mm. Regards from Vienna

Hi robertkru! Yes, there's some big gaps along the fenders. I didn't know about them before the assembly. Thanks for the comment!

Here, some photos before dust. Still working on it.

Cheers!

I have to say that it's a complicated kit due the bad quality of the molds and the plastic. But I'm happy cause I think I've made the most of it.

The idea was a first layer of hairspray technique and then build up the rest of the camo with mapping and oils.
As you see here, hairspray - mapping/oil - final result

If you want to see the whole painting process just take a look here.

Final photos:

Cheers!
