Or are you going to build the Munster IV G?
Be careful, because the Munster IV G has a "Versuchsmündungsbremse" (=experiment muzzle break)
Italeri has this kind of muzzle break in their old Pz IV kit.
The double buffle muzzle break in the Dragon kit is the standard version.

Notger,
Good point. I planned to do the one with double buffle muzzle break. Seems you are 100% right and I have missed the fact that its not a standard muzzle break in Munster tank. Since I have alreday glued the back plate from F2 version the one without the cover for the cooling water exchange port as its clearly visable at this picture

http://rommelkiste.de/panzer4/images/bild15.jpg

I have now two choices - find that experimental muzzle break somewhere and continue doing Munster tank or go back to the F2 version with single baffle muzzle break (global one) .

Notger - would the one on the right do the job? These come from Dragon 6250 Pak 40 Anzio.

Chris

It seems that DML has a new trick up their sleeves. They have included parts for the Ausf G in this kit and but delibrately not mention it. It's meant to be a treasure hunt for the more "advanced" modelers to figure out.

That is very interesting one Rick. If my eyesight is well than its F2 with single buffle muzzle break but with fron plate with singe vison fort typical for later Gs. So now I belive one can expect so many variations from a standard models F2 and G.
Its hard to tell wheter this one had side vision ports?

Notger - as an old Italeri IV kit do u mean Italeri Pzkpfw IVF2 kit?
http://www.jadarhobby.waw.pl/italeri...ml?language=en
For that experimental muzzle break. Looked at Amrorscale and Aber barrels but was not able to find that kind of muzzle break. Maybe some other manufacturer has one in catalogue?

Have done some more progress on model. Pictures comming tomorrow.

With Pz IVs anything is possible. They are the Sherman of the German army. That could be a gun that was scavanged off of a damaged vehicle to replace a damaged gun on another vehicle. This kind of stuff happened all the time. Thats why you see different road wheels hubs on the same tank, turrets from one mark stuck on the hull of a different mark ect. ect.

Think have alreday seen this one.

By the way I have already collected some nice pictures of IV. Maybe there would be a possibility to open a new thread with Panzer IV pictures like it was done with Panther? Think there will be quite many people here interested with IV and its all ausfurungen?
What do you think abt this idea guys

Long time no progress pictures here so think high time I post something to keep thread alive.

Here is
