Dragon Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. F2(G)

As promissed in the other thread I start a new one with construction process.
For starters here is paint guide by producer

Parts look superb and hope that fit is same as looks. Parts look re-designed when compared with B, D and E. What is great the hull is one part not two like in the mentioned kits.

Dragon names it F2(G) so does that mean that one can make early G out of it with just a change of barrel with different muzzle break?

Lets get it started ...

Steps 1 and 2 by instructions

At the moment getting rid of very tiny mould seam on iddlers and between sprocket teeth which is time consuming.

To be continued ...

Chris

I'm currently building the Ausf. E and it's quite more complicated than this!
I noticed that the running wheels are just two halves with a circular lock in the middle, as the tyres are not separate as well as in the previous versions.
I'm sure the result will be great!
Waiting to see more photos!
Good luck and happy modelling!

Ebbe, Giacomo
I still have not decided how to paint it.
Maybe DAK?

Giacomo
The kit it defenatelly less complicated than E and far more than C. Where sprocket has separate bolts. I also have E at my bench which has been "on hold" for quite a while. Have the Vorpanzer Box version but bought it to build DAK version not Vorpanzer. The idea to buy it was born after watching what James did with his E. Have Montex masks with number 411 for it. What paint scheme have you decided for - Giacomo?

Here is my E and new F2 hull

Chris

Is it just me or does the new hull looks shorter than the ausf E hull?

Smart Kits are meant to have fewer parts to made to be assembled easier. The roadwheels and suspension are not like the workable ones in the Ausf E.
