Small Scale...big Project!step By Step(sbs)

Hi friends of this forum!

Iīll show you my "Das reich" Tiger I.in a SBS building form.Iīm using the 1/48 scale Tiger I fromTamiya, with Ediard P.E. and resin link by link tracks from WWII Productions (an Aussie company)...

The references are a must for every modeller and or enthusiast...

The version that I chose...

In the kit assembly,I observed a problem that must be corrected:"There is a gap in the whole turn between the upper deck and the cast metal hull"...Strips of plasticard were glued and sanded untill a perfect fit was achived.See the pics that show how I corrected this...

See you in the next!

Luiz.

...the molded on tools in the Tamiyaīs Tiger arenīt a good representation,so,I decided to remove them and Iīll take advantage of them in a future building stage.

At first, note that in the real one,the tools are moved away from the top hull...

...and now, my method of removing the tools...really,itīs a risk task...

See you in the next!

ouch that is some surgery you did. Great to see a 48th Tiger build, some excellent work here Luiz
On my Tiger I squished the side together and sanded the front of the sides down so the top could slide to the rear removing the gaps.
Did you see this build? http://www.robert-doepp.de/en/projec...iger/index.php
Robert re skinned the metal sides with thin plastic plate to make detailing the sides easier.

I will follow your build closely.

Cheers
Ray
