Ok, so as promised I've not given up on this build and wanted to post a few update pics. My modelling tends to grind to a snails pace during the spring/summer as I'm usually more worried about my golf game but I'll get it done eventually. So here we are at present:

First, I painted the inside of the roof in my interior ivory mix. The driver's console was scratch built just to give the open hatch some interest. It looks awfully emply with nothing there. the gauges were done with the archer generic set. This isn't 100% accurate but as I said, it looks much better than having nothing at all.

The inside of the driver's compartment was given a green mix as was the transmission. Everything was scratched up a bit and various washes and oil filters were put on along with a few fluid spills here and there. It's not perfect but with the top on you can't really see anything much so I'm not going to make a career out out of the interior on this thing. All in all, I think it looks the part pretty well. The seem on the drive shaft is kinda ugly but I cut the tabs off the end to turn it away from the driver's hatch so you can't see if through the hatch.

The engine comparment has gotten its base coat as well so the next step will be to deal with the engine bay. Thanks for lookin! Love to hear your comments.

Gday Chad

Love the way the interior is turning out. The weathering is fantastic too.

Quick update. I think I'm ready to call the inside of the driver's compartment done. Just a bit a touch up and the addition of some "junk" and here we go. The leaves are from Hudson and Allen and the map is a verlinden item as is the other paper which I'm not really sure what it's supposed to be but who cares! Looks a tad more lived in now. May dust over the new additions with some pigments but for the most part I'm satisfied with it.

I don't know about the need for the leaves - but the rest is top notch! I will save some of these for reference in future builds.

The leaves are part of a look I have in mind. I am planning to put this on a base with some figs with the idea of "spring cleaning" in early spring so I wanted to junk it up with some winter leftovers.

Why would the clowns not let people into the tent? What's the point of the show if they don't? .
