CitroŽn Traction Avant 11cv Tamiya 1:35

This is a pretty sweet kit. Very easy build. No engine, unfortunately, but that does make it easier. I had to add backs to the front seats, as well as chop the inside, both to make it the right size but also fit foot peddles they didn't add. Need to scratch a rear view mirror and a driver's side mirror.

I'm thinking of buying a couple more when I get the funds.

Gonna do this one up as a French Army staff car.

Here's an early dry fit shot next to the Maus turret for my E-100

This thing goes together so easy. Definitely a put some glue in the box and shake it and out pops a model.

The underside is five parts (the exhaust pipe/muffler are off so I can paint them separately.

Tamiya being Tamiya just can't help but leave something out.

Most of the annoying problems are in the interior. The peddles are not included, and the gear shift is molded to the dash. Also, the space between the drivers and passenger foot areas was way too big. So I sawed and chiseled and filed it into shape, gouging my fingers several times. I also tore up the firewall, but I think it won't be that easy to see.

I need to scratch a read view and driver's side mirror, paint it, and attach the fiddly bits.

I have a guest staying in my spare room, so my air brush is not available to me now. So I tried regular brushing. :/

I tried my white/grey/black priming idea, to try and give it shading, but this technique doesn't seem to work with brushing.

Still a work in progress, but I need to be finished Friday night. I dropped one of the pieces, which knocked off the foot peddles. Brush strokes are quite visible. Not really happy with this right now.
