New modelling goods

Here's my haul from earlier this year at a modelling show near Frankfurt (Main). When I got back home I was shocked how much I spent in a few hours (on the first day of the show I didn't buy anything, but in the closing hours the day after... ouch).

After this I decided not buy more this year, but you all know that drug called modelling and new kits, don't you ;) ?

So this arrived today from the Netherlands...

Initially, I just wanted to buy the Barrel Depot M242 barrels because I could not find them anywhere in Germany. But then I saw the really cheap Voyager PE for the Leopard 2A6 and so it got me started...
And because I managed to tip over my Micro Set bottle two times in a row, another one was ordered. At least I also got the US machine gun set for my Italy diorama now.

*sigh*

... and another order has already been placed ... :D:D

Greetings,
Joh

Yeah, I know what you mean. We had the Australian Model Expo in Melbourne in June followed by our own Queensland Model and Hobby Expo in August - my bank account is looking decidedly sick and I'm not gane to lay out all my purchases in the one spot for fear She Who Must Be Obeyed might find out !

Wow,

Johannes, that's some haul! :D here's a tip for defense against bottle tipping over sickness. Especially good for liquid glue. Use whatever your favorite permanent glue is, and take a used, bad, scratched or what ever cd, glue the base of the bottle to it , I like using epoxy, and you'll never tip that over.

Nice idea, thanks :)

And because the Voyager set is sooo nice I decided to go get the kit for it today, lol.

But as always, it did not work out as planned. Every time I visited this store, there was a Tamiya Leo 2A6 laughing at me from the shelf but when I got there today, no 35271! Arghs! So I was frustrated and instead of saving money, I picked up this.

So long ;)

Oh my Goodness!
I'm surprised of how much you could have spent as well!
I wish I could do that one day (not now, because my parents are paying for it!)! :D

nice stuff!

Got new stuff yesterday.

http://freenet-homepage.de/jownified2/new3.jpg

Jaguar Elefant interior (so no more excuses not to make any progress on the Elefant blog) it's much better detailed than the Verlinden interior but the molds are not too good anymore. Some parts need to be worked over a lot.
Lincoln County Line Gebirgsjäger figure (which is very nicely detailed but way too big for 1/35th in my opinion)
armorscale M242 25mm chain gun barrel for Bradley / LAV-25. I actually just needed the resin mantlet for my Bradley and the Barrel Depot fluted M242 barrels which I got earlier.
Lion Roar copper beams... I think it's cheaper to get such things from a hobby store but I was too lazy ;)
And finally some "real" Future as presents from friends who were in the US recently. It's going to be interesting to find out if the original is really better than the stuff we can get here in Europe.

Greetings!

Yes I know Tamiya tools are expensive but they never disappointed me in any way.
The Leo is going to be a 2A6M one day.

Greetz, joh
