2 Pounder "PORTEE"...another 'old school' build.

1/35th scale British 2 Pounder "PORTEE".
This scratch-build/conversion goes back to 1983.
The Tamiya Kit of the Quad Truck was converted to the 'flat-bed' platform for the scratch-built 2 pdr. anti-tank gun.

This build was featured in the March, 1991 issue of Military Modeler magazine.

Here are some scanned 'clippings' from the magazine & scanned prints/slides taken back in the day. I no longer have this build, would love to re-do this project, but in 1/16 scale.
That would have to be completely scratched.....

I have seen 'new' conversions and scratch-builds of the 2 pdr. "portee" (real nice builds) with the help of the 1/35th Bronko Kit: 2 pounder anti-tank gun.

I have yet to see anyone build one in 1/16th scale! ANY TAKERS?..."silence is deafening"...
Just might take up that challenge myself, who knows.

Thank you for looking and enjoy.

Wow, that is beautiful. I seem to remember that article as I may have had it here at one time. Nice to see it again.

Yes, 1983 (for the most part) was a good 'vintage' year.
